For the second time, Douglas County Hospital has been named one of the nation's Top 100 Hospitals. We do not apply for this award, but are selected from over 3,000 hospitals nationwide. This award is based on best performance across the whole hospital in the areas of: patient outcomes, patient safety, patient satisfaction, efficiency and finanical stablilty. The hospital was previously honored in 2002.

Douglas County Hospital is currently accredited by Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP). HFAP was founded by the American Osteopathic Association and is nationally recognized by the federal government, state governments, insurance carriers and managed care organization. HFAP conducts accreditation surveys of acute care hospitals, ambulatory care and surgery centers, mental health, and physical rehabilitation facilities.
