The staff goals of these units are to provide patient centered care in a safe environment. The plan of care for each patient is individualized to meet their health needs. Referrals are frequently made depending on individual needs in order to assist with discharge and their health care needs. The medical and surgical units are located on the second floor of the hospital. They feature private rooms and patient-centered care. The pediatrics unit consists of nurses specially trained in the care of infants and children, and an atmosphere that encourages family participation and education. The types in inpatient surgery include: thoracic, abdominal, vascular, GYN, urologic, podiatric, orthopaedic and spine surgery.
