The staff goals of these units are to provide patient centered care in a safe environment. The plan of care for each patient is individualized to meet their health needs. Referrals are frequently made depending on individual needs in order to assist with discharge and their health care needs. The medical unit is a 35 bed unit which is located on the second floor of the hospital. The surgical unit is a 40 bed unit which is located on the third floor. The pediatrics unit is also located on the third floor of the hospital. The pediatrics unit consists of nurses specially trained in the care of infants and children, and an atmosphere that encourages family participation and education. The types in inpatient surgery include: thoracic, abdominal, vascular, GYN, urologic, podiatric, orthopaedic and spine surgery.
