The Douglas County Hospital provides outpatient chemotherapy to individuals whose cancer treatment plan includes chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is a treatment which is usually administered intravenously on a specific cycle or time frame. The chemotherapy treatment is ordered and followed closely by your physician or medical oncologist. Chemotherapy is administered by nurses trained in oncology who assist patients to maintain their quality of life in addition to making appropriate referrals for the patient and family.
